Itinerary
Depart Nairobi on a 45-minute scheduled flight from Wilson Airport to the Masai Mara.
Upon landing at your conservancy airstrip, your Kicheche guide will welcome you and begin your first game drive en route to camp.
Arrive at camp to a warm greeting from your hosts, followed by a short briefing and time to settle into your chic and beautifully appointed tent. After a leisurely lunch, unwind and soak in the surroundings before heading out on an afternoon game drive across the conservancy. From giraffes browsing treetops to elephants foraging in the long grass, wildlife encounters begin immediately often actually in camp.
Return at dusk for a hot shower, a fireside aperitif, and a relaxed but delicious dinner under the stars.
Wake to the soft light of dawn and tea or coffee delivered to your tent.
Set out on an early morning game drive as your conservancy awakens—grazing herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and eland move across the plains, while big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards patrol their territory.
Enjoy a picnic breakfast out in the bush, surrounded by the captivating plains, granite gorges and river valleys, before returning to camp late morning. After a relaxed al fresco lunch, the afternoon is yours to enjoy—read, rest, or watch the birdlife flit through camp. Later, head out for another game drive in a different area of the conservancy. Expect new sightings: jackals picking over a carcass, warthogs wallowing, or sparring impalas locked in duels.
Pause for sundowner drinks at a viewpoint or even in the vehicle if on a really hot quarry, before returning to camp. Share stories around the campfire before sitting down to a delicious three course dinner under the stars.
After breakfast at camp, set out for a full-day safari, venturing further across the conservancy—or into the Masai Mara Reserve during migration season.
This extended game drive allows exploration of new terrain and experiences of different wildlife behaviours in diverse habitats. Track hunting cheetahs, observe hippos and crocodiles sharing the river, or watch wildebeest bulls defend their territory. Midday, pause beneath the shade of an acacia for a picnic lunch — an unhurried moment to reflect on the sounds and silence of the savannah.
Continue your journey through the afternoon, witnessing the ever-changing rhythm of the wild.
Often the close of the safari days include watching a lion pride wake up: cubs tumbling, lionesses grooming, and the deep, resonant roar of the males echoing across the plains.
Begin your final morning with an optional guided bush walk from camp, an intimate way to connect with the land on foot.
Your guide will interpret the subtle signs of the wild: leopard tracks in the dust, a weaver bird’s nest swaying in the breeze, or clues of recent migration activity many would miss.
Return to camp for a leisurely breakfast before bidding farewell. You’ll be transferred across the plains to the conservancy airstrip for the flight back to Nairobi— taking with you lasting memories of Kenya’s wild heart.
