Itinerary

Depart Nairobi’s Wilson Airport on your scheduled morning flight to Nanyuki or directly to Kamok Airstrip in Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

On arrival, a Kicheche guide will meet you for the scenic 45-minute transfer to camp.

After settling in and enjoying lunch, spend a relaxing afternoon before heading out on your first game drive across the sweeping plains with one of our Silver-level guides. As the day winds down, enjoy a sundowner at a picturesque lookout, followed by a spotlight night drive back to camp.

Freshen up with a hot shower before gathering around the campfire or in our cosy lounge. Dinner is served under the stars or in the dining tent—an atmospheric end to your first day.

Wake to fresh coffee or tea brought to your tent before setting off for a morning drive into the wilder western reaches of the Conservancy.

Here, sightings are often enjoyed in solitude—hyenas emerging from dens, rhinos wallowing in muddy pans, and more.

Return to camp for a leisurely alfresco lunch, with time to relax and watch wildlife drawn to the waterhole, large numbers of elephant frequent this water source as do rhino, lions and it has its own resident hippo: Gloria. In the afternoon, head back out to explore further—Ol Pejeta always has something to reveal. Back in camp, enjoy a sundowner and stories by the fire. You may choose a private dinner tonight—completely up to you.

Another early start with coffee or tea in your tent.

Today, you can tailor your experience:

  • Visit the Northern White Rhino enclosure
  • Enjoy a guided walk in the bush
  • Experience mountain biking
  • Trek the staggeringly beautiful Ngare forest and swim in its waterfalls

After a laid-back lunch at camp, unwind while keeping an eye on the waterhole. If you opted to visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, your guide will take you there for a private encounter, followed by a game drive in search of black rhino and other special species. Return to camp at dusk for a refreshing shower and dinner. Should you wish to head out on a night drive, an earlier meal will be arranged.

Depending on your flight time, begin the day with an optional morning walk or drive accompanied by a guide and a conservancy ranger.

Walks are tailored to your preferred pace and distance.

Return for breakfast before your transfer to Nanyuki Airstrip for your onward flight to Nairobi or to the Masai Mara for the next chapter of your safari.
