There are countless ways to gauge a safari with no defining or burnished template. However, cats are rarely far from the top table. This week’s Spot is curated from a burgeoning and brilliant portfolio from a favourite daughter of Kicheche: Charlotte Rhodes.
It is her tawny triumvirate, a feline threesome or indeed a cat-trick. Charlotte, who knows the Conservancies almost as well as James and Jimmy,(her guides) has done some serious justice to our spotted and golden residents.

Cheetahs hunting, the implacable gaze of a rosetted leopard or a lioness in the sunrise ….spectacular images and moments.
Many words (often rightly, but all too often pious and worthy) are written about other creatures but honestly, can you find anyone who’s heart rate does not increase at these magnificent signature species or indeed these photographs of this tantalising troika?

Thank you CR, 13 years of visiting …. just about out of virgin status now…..
