Laura Dyer … take a bow today. This is not her Spot debut, far from it, she and her husband Dan kept travelling to their favourite camps in Africa throughout the lonely days of 2020 and 21.
We salute you both but you really have outdone yourselves this time.
Take a few moments out to gorge yourself on these images. There is no particular rule which manifests itself when mining these sort of high carat gems but a combination of patience, sensitivity, fieldcraft and indeed some sound technical knowledge all make a contribution.
Then of course there are the sorcerers masquerading as guides at Kicheche which make the unimaginable happen.
There is something else too: time; the really precious commodity when prospecting in the enviable parcels of the Conservancies. Laura clearly thinks her time is best spent here rather than anywhere else in Africa and you know what …. we agree with her.
Thank you, the pair of you. Again.
