Any Olympic gold medal winner will tell you that winning is hard but retaining is almost impossible. Kicheche Bush Camp has just retained its ECO-Gold award for the fourth year in succession, the Sir Stephen Redgrave of safari pennants. This has been attained despite incredibly difficult trading circumstances.
Congratulations to the team: everyone knows how fiendishly hard Gold is to hang onto and this high carat garland proves that every staff member has swallowed the sustainable ethic whole. An award such as this is not testament to Persian carpets, nutmeg pancakes and much fawning by uniformed staff; it shows, plainly, that our Eco footprint and Conservancy birthright matters to us and indeed guests.

Needless to say Kicheche’s other three camps have also achieved the same laudable status, but just for this week the gilded beam shines on Bush Camp.

These prizes are not just for Christmas although we look forward to welcoming yuletide guests, who will no doubt be showered with faunal festive gifts from the Acacia angels.
More importantly we want and indeed need to see some more of you come New Year: those who like Kicheche standards … gold standards.
