Kicheche’s Mara camps sit superbly and sensitively in three prolific conservancies, with access to the reserve when required. These jealously guarded wildernesses are among the best, or even the best wildlife habitats in Africa. However, have any of you ever had that nagging feeling that despite enjoying your best ever safari you might have chosen the wrong one?
It is of course ridiculous and utterly unreasonable but also perhaps understandable if you hear of a leopard with new cubs or a lioness carrying some precious cargo, knowing full well it is across the unmarked border, which may not be implementing ludicrous quarantine, but is not porous.
Well NO LONGER, for the next few months to encourage Conservancy tourism, you can game drive in Naboisho, Olare and Mara North, so when Dongo is carousing outside Valley Camp or Nalangu is pampering her cubs within yards of Mara Camp, or Fig is … well just being Fig at Bush Camp, you can be there.

Flights, tests, low season rates, free photo tuition, a country with a falling virus rate far lower than anywhere in Europe, I mean, come on, where would you rather be? People are travelling, people realise how important their support is and now they can have access across these spectacular Conservancies.

Flights – check. Negative test – check. Insurance – check (we don’t make the age rules btw), ‘ludicrous’ quarantine – we’re being encouraged to work from home anyway – check.
See you safely in October … or November … for perhaps some slightly longer but even more exciting game drives.
