Safaris should never be gauged by photos alone. That is too clinical. It is not a rugby game where the score line is everything….. just ask Australia and the All Blacks who are currently rearranging flights home. A bush nirvana can be achieved by many resolutions. For some it is the blushing false dawn, for many the guttural lion’s rumble or indeed the baleful fish eagle’s lament.
Closer to camp it could be the delicate tomato and balsamic starter or the unctuous Sunday curry or indeed the perennially popular Scotch eggs (Ginsters they are not).
However, if we are to judge by images alone, try some of these by Andy Harris: simply superb, utterly top work from him and his faithful guide and admiral Nelson. Top work Tito too ….. a safari of some distinction, you don’t agree …… do I hear distinction rebellion?
